Our Daily Schedule:

• 8:00 to 8:20 Dropoff

• 8:20 to 8:30 Music and dance

• 8:30 to 8:45 Circle time/large group

• 8:45 to 10:15 Self-directed play in centers and the teacher conducts small groups at the table on math, science, reading, crafts, etc.

• 10:15 to 10:30 Large group/Storytime

• 10:30 to 11 Family Style lunch

• 11 to 11:45 Recess

• 11:45 to 12 Packing up and pick up

• 12 to 2 optional extended days on Mondays through Thursdays

OUR DIRECTOR

My name is Betsy Davis and I am the Director here at Christus Victor Lutheran Preschool. I’m originally from South Louisiana where I graduated from Nicholls State University with a bachelor's degree in journalism. I moved here to Ocean Springs in 2018 with my daughter and soon after found my passion for teaching. I have since earned my Child Development Associate Certification and have fallen in love with this wonderful little community. I feel very privileged to be able to take such an important role in our children's growth and development and even more so to be doing it in this wonderful little school.

OUR TEACHER

Hello to all the new and perspective students and their families. I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself to you. My name is Crystal McDermott and I graduated from High School at St. Martin. I worked in management for a clothing store called One Price by the Edgewater Mall for a few years before moving on.  I attended college at MGCCC and received an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification. I worked for American Medical Response (AMR) as a 911 dispatcher for 9 years. That is where I meet the love of my life, my husband Andy. We have a beautiful Daughter named Brandi who now attends MS state and a son named Jacob who goes to St Martin. Due to my son needing speech therapy and other things when he was in preschool, I was blessed enough to be a stay at home mom for a number of years. He is now a strong, independent teen who is working toward being an automotive mechanic. I was a substitute teacher for Christus Victor preschool before becoming a teacher. I absolutely love working with the children and watching them grow and blossom in our preschool.
